No, he's saying there's an audible difference between running normal AC, recirculate on, with air directed out the vents vs. Max AC.

You're saying there is no difference.

I beg you, please do not try to explain anything further.

You're not getting the last word.

OK...so he notices the air is directed differently changing the sound. BFD. Still doesn't change the fact that Max AC doesn't do anything in regards to the AC system running under the hood.

So you've gone from "you either have Recirculate or MAX" to "MAX doesn't do anything but turn recirculate on and make it full cold" to "ok, you can have both and maybe it directs the air differently, but it doesn't change anything in the system!" And it would take me all of 3 seconds to still disprove you using my truck as an example.

I dub this the last word.

I dont even know what it is anymore. Don't cars use mostly DC anyway?

Now I gotta see if there is an audible difference between Max and High speed/Recirc-On in my car. I dont think there is. I always figured the Max button was just a quick, one button step to get to Max Blower Motor speed/Lowest Temp setting/Center Vents.

Ex: Get in the car on a hot day, dont fuck with multiple knobs and buttons, just hit "Max" and away it goes.

I keep mine set to "Auto" most of the time so it will basically run on "Max" until it hits my preset temp.

BUT, just pushing "Auto" always leaves Recirc turned off. You have to then turn it on...I think it's just another way to justify having the "Max" button at all though

Doubt it...New things rarely are.

And there isn't. In my 2010 Fusion, "Max AC" = A shortcut.

Maybe in some of your cars there's a super secret blower motor speed only accessible when you accept the risks of taking it to the MAX! (Desert only)
