I have a riding buddy that just bought a left over 08 for 8K. He test rode a friends and the bought it saying that it is a tiny feeling bike but super easy to ride fast and more power than he could imagine. Hisother bike is a speed triple...

Yeah...had to look it up. the 2008 was the redesign. 2009 added ABS

Get the discount on the 08 1000 because I think it is the identical bike as 09. I test drove it and it seemed great (what can you really learn with the sales guy following you) and every mag gave it great reviews.
