You need more long distance miles under your belt. Texas is big enough for you to do that. Get on it. I can do OKC to NC in one day. Quit your belly achin'. Heck, the trip I'm planning for April I'm planning to ride from San Diego to OKC in one day. Par for the course my friend, par for the course.

I also have the fear of breaking down. Not really concerned about being stranded but I dont make the kind of money that most of you do. I cant just call up a tow truck and pay hundreds or more to have my bike shipped back or pay a mechanic to "do whatever it takes."

You have a brand new motorcycle right? Maybe you should have bought something besides a Kawasaki if you're worried about breakdowns.
