Rear brake and target fixation FTL.

Sean 01-08-2010 04:43 PM

I think I know right where that is. There's a bunch of photographers that set up in that corner every weekend and hawk photos on the interwebz. So many accidents happen there because people get distracted. It's the same place that 955i with the gearless girl on the back went down, if you remember that photo.

Don't remember, but I'd love to see it.

I've been working on the "too much rear brake" I tell ya, for me, its a chore and I always have to chant "front brake, front brake, front brake" while I'm riding It is especially obvious in the rain.

Is that a Speed Triple ?

Oops nevermind...doesn't look like a single sided swingarm after further review.

Not so sure how it would transition to your Victory because I've never rode one, but on a sport bike... I don't use the rear brake AT ALL. Unless of course it's low, low speed turning or on gravel.

Yeah I edited my post because it doesn't look like a single sided swingarm.

The reason for asking is I was gonna send the link to a friend that just bought one. The reason ? He went in to and over a guardrail on his black R6.

I laugh because he's ok and now has another bike.

Truth be told, neither am I. The headlights gave it away as a Triumph and since you fools already narrowed it down I only had one other option.

Rangerscott 01-08-2010 05:43 PM

Its a street triple

JARVIS518 01-08-2010 05:54 PM

Does that corner have a weird bank or is it slippery?

There must be dirt on that corner or something...I rode Mullholland 1 time. Hated it. Too tight and too many driveways on blind corners. Not to mention too many fuckin squids.

Sean 01-09-2010 09:00 AM

There's nothing wrong with it, but the next straight is a big lookout where tons of people gather and photographers all line up there taking pics to sell. (rockstorephotos.com). Tons of distractions and everyone wants to look like Hayden in that corner so they look awesome on the photo that they're too cheap to pay $5 for.

Mulholland is the road that leads to the fun roads, it's not the destination. Except for that tight part above the rock store.

And I thought that was you running at the beginning of the vid.

derf 01-09-2010 12:48 PM

I ran mullholland once too, nice road, but as stated above people push beyond their limits when the photographers are there.

unknownroad 01-11-2010 01:07 PM

Nice... i like how you get the slow-mo where you can see him looking at the guardrail over his right shoulder :nono:

A number of those did seem like they just lost traction for no particular reason, tho
