Punished for mingling

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/worl...h_lashing.html

getting whipped and sent to prison for talking with other people. Makes th emuslim religion look better and better every day :td:

Tmall 06-22-2010 05:04 PM

Them's the rules...

Kaneman 06-22-2010 05:13 PM

Those dudes should've taken turns sucking those chics titties, then they could've been considered relatives and therefore allowed to mingle.

Amorok 06-22-2010 08:06 PM

It's the religion of peace people. Stop posting stuff like this.

Thats the world they choose to live in. If I wanted to live in that world I would move there too.

Dragonpaco 06-23-2010 01:29 AM

don't do anything wrong and they wont whip and imprison you

derf 06-23-2010 01:51 AM

Really though, thats their laws, yes I disagree with them, and thing that they are all backwater ignorant fools stuck in the 13th century with guns and tvs, but it is still their culture and customs and their laws. If they want to change that and enough of their people want to change that they will overthrow the government. But enough of their people support it or are willing to stay silent so they have to live with the consequenses. If they want to leave the country and they are truly motivated enough to do so then they will. In the mean time I just have no sympathy for them.

Papa_Complex 06-23-2010 07:47 AM

Thing is, those aren't the rules.

If a court upholds the charge, then sorry them's the rules. When another court strikes it down, then them's not the rules anymore.

I should be more specific then: They aren't the RELIGION'S rules.

Yes, it is the strictest set of that religions rules. Just like any modern religion their strictest followers would take a line that says 'babies should not be born to unwed mothers' and turn it into 'no sex before marriage and gonna stone you if you do.' Or they could go another way completely, and say just don't get pregnant, but they choose to follow the no sex or we stone you interpretation.

Sorry, but it isn't. Far too many things that are being attributed to Islam, are actually CULTURAL practises. If some people like Wahhabi choose to add things to The religion that aren't actually in it, then it isn't The Koran that is at fault.

Of course it is the religion of peace. Once they kill everybody shit will be very peaceful.

Yep, cause they've never killed each other over stupid ideological differences.

Thats queer speak.
Stop fucking with our beliefs Canada boy.
If we believe thats what Islam is all about then goddammit you gotta respect our beliefs by not saying a GAT DAMN thing that might challenge those beliefs.

Sorry, I should know better than to interfere with an inferior superstitious culture. You've got it; Prime Directive from this point, forward.

Theyre too busy trying to kill all the infidels

Kaneman 06-26-2010 06:13 PM

Wait, who in here has actually read and studied the Koran?....makes all the difference in the world. In fact, you're straight up not allowed to judge until you have.

Amorok 06-26-2010 06:38 PM

I've read it, although admittedly not in it's entirety and you couldn't call it studying. However, how do you judge the Hell's Angels? By the actions they're most widely known for. Same thing for Islam. Not all Islamic people are bad, in fact most of them are decent people, but they subscribe to a religion that very much lends itself to unseemly labels. Christianity has that kind of history too, but not in the last few generations, whereas Islam has and continues to support killing in the name of Allah. It began in conflict and nothing has changed in it's entire legacy. It's not a religion of peace, it's a religion of intolerance. And things won't be peaceful if everyone converts, because with the absence of infidels to exterminate the Sunni/Shiite smackdown will begin, all over who Muhammad's successor was supposed to be. Defend the people and the believers who are decent, but don't try to defend the religion. No religion is worth defending really, but the leadership of Islam in several countries has pretty glaringly proven that they really don't want any of the peace or enlightenment their religion could offer. You judge a tree by it's fruit, and there is a lot of fruit in the last ten years to show what Islam should be judged by.

Papa_Complex 06-26-2010 06:40 PM

Yup. Read it. Not only that but, given where I live, I've spent a fair bit of time living and working around Muslims.

101lifts2 06-27-2010 08:56 PM

The Islam religon has alot of holes in it. I'm just sayin...

Judiaism is the most believable, but usually as long as you stick to that specific religon, they usually have their bases covered. Once you start to compare one against another is where the shit starts to come apart.

"Believable" and not "full of holes" aren't congruent.

They are sort of....Full of holes means there are contradictions within the specific religion, which therefore makes it unbelievable.

So is it, "An eye for an eye" or "turn the other cheek"? Seems to me that they're mutually exclusive.

Dragonpaco 06-27-2010 11:21 PM

Buddhism is pretty solid but difficult

Papa_Complex 06-28-2010 06:59 AM

Buddhism is full of contradictions and they don't make any bones about it.

Ahhhh...that is actually a good point. IMO..God has changed over time. While I think the message has always been the same, the way he corrected people wasn't. The flood killed all the humans on the earth minus a few, but then later on sent the Messiah to forgive all sins. He also sacrificed people in the Old Testament indicating that God has not always treated people the same.

Sure, except that the statement I made is a contradiction within The Torah. New Testament need not apply.
