More truth learned as drug war propaganda fades...
The tone of this article is still pretty anti-pot, but if you read between the lines, you'll see it.
Scientists seem to finally be on the road to figuring out that cannabis doesn't cause Schizophrenia, but that sufferers may be, in fact, just self-medicating, and some even now expect that cannabis-based drugs may one day help treat sufferers... http://www.time.com/time/health/arti...005559,00.html Legalize it! |
I had to quit at the first sentence where they claim Marijuana can cause hallucinations. They may be getting more non-biased...but the articles still reek of horse shit.
|
Well, at least the language of propaganda is easy to spot anymore, and I agree, the bias is still looming large, but if you read carefully between the lines (because the researchers themselves know the rules of the game are stacked against the truth, and are carefully to speak accordingly), you can see that the truth is actually trying to rise to the surface.

Thousands of times I've partaken, not once have I ever hallucinated. Complete BS. Quote:
I'd still be absolutely shocked if CA voted it legal. I have a feeling the silent majority will come out and vote this down. I did see a story today about Oakland approving their first large-scale marijuana farm. There were protests, but not from concerned citizens....the protests came from small time medical growers. |

I don't see why they couldn't continue drug testing. Think about other federal employers, like the military. I doubt they would change what they do just because of what California does.

put these in front of them and if they start chowing down, they smoked within the last couple hours |

What did they do before there was a chemical alcohol test?
They gave a simple sobriety test for impairment. If you're not impaired, there should be no issue. |

PC, thanks for reminding us of the Government sponsored version of what exactly Cannabis is...here's the reality version (I know most have seen it, but for those who didn't, the "contrast" with the above is just too telling):

I think the main take-away from that vid is the fact that cannabis use does NOT promote risk-taking (as alcohol does), but in fact, makes you more aware of any possible impairment (even if it's only a perceived one), thus it is self-correcting, in a way.
I don't think there's a real panic to be felt here. Being impaired, be it ever so slightly by cannabis...Zirtec, or Chlor-Trimeton, for that matter...is probably not the worst concern in the world. Sleep deprivation is FAR more dangerous, and pervasive in the workplace, and surely responsible for far-greater fuckups. Ain't no test fo dat chit. |

I have a lot of times that I know I am too high to drive, so I don't. If I were at the same stage of drunk, I'd probably already have myself convinced that I was ok to drive.

Maybe about 10 mins from my house im behind this old suburban who has his blinker on for a couple miles (used it during a circle for some odd reason) and then he turned it off finally. couple mins later i see him slowly get into the turning lane without a signal or brake lights.. then he slowly went into oncomming traffic.. then onto the sidewalk and then into a pole at about 50mph.. I thought he was gonna go through a house, but the pole stopped him.. I had to swerve to miss a wheel flying back across the road. I slowed down and saw that he got out tho.. Scary shit.. :td: |
