I'm glad to see our congress is working on the important things.

Besides our government basically being a dictatorship now, what authority does the government have to tell a private company how loud they can play private advertising?

The same authority they have to do whatever else they want to.

I like how they'll vote on this, but they are deferring the vote on the tax cuts. Really? Really??

They are going to get voted out anyway, so the hell with all of them.

Rangerscott 09-30-2010 07:41 PM

Gotta get the people to smile, then decline something important.

And then replaced by people just like them...so what's the point?

I just mute commercials anyhow and grab a beer.

101lifts2 09-30-2010 08:34 PM

While I do feel loud commericals are annoying, I find Congress more annoying for meddling in shit like this.

So they can control your local ABC/Fox/NBC channels but what about Cable channels? I don't see ESPN or Lifetime being carried by an antenna. They are satellite or cable channels. And if they want to control the "waves" or whatever it is being sent by satellites, then they are going to need a big fucking ladder to turn that shit off.

And controlling hte "public airwaves" because it isn't mentioned in the Bill of Rights is bullshit.

Just a fucking waste of government time and money. Any asshole who took the time to vote on this (either way) needs to be tarred and feathered.

Didn't they also control something about college football?
