A little more video, from ground level. It gets a little graphic, in that you can see the injuries of the guy who gets run over, so watch at your own risk.

Did that guy make it?

Papa_Complex 04-30-2012 01:48 PM

Got out of it with "serious injuries", according to the news. One of them was obviously that cut to his chin, that looks like it goes right down to the bone.

The guy who got run over, was the one who was kicking the driver's side door.

Wow. Wtf was that all about.

Apparently it was about 4 drunk guys getting kicked out of a cab, at 4:00am, and not taking it very well. Not sure that I'd have reacted quite the way that the cabbie did, but I certainly would have reacted somehow.

Well, I was going to type my true thoughts on the situation; however, I wasn't making much sense since I kept jumping back and fourth. So, I'll just say the guy that got ran over got what was coming to him, and soon the cabbie will get his! That was much easier to say.

The taxi driver has been charged. So has at least one of the four men who were kicked out of the cab.

There were maybe a dozen of those guys all across Toronto, when the big blackout hit.

Is there some reason the car was perpendicular to the road?

Unfortunately there's no video of what came before, and no one is being very forthcoming about it. Seems that the kicking at the cab started before that point, after the cabbie tossed them out of his car, so at that point there was likely a fair bit of testosterone spiking, yelling, and circling saying, "Come on man! Come on!!" In bastard French, of course.

Homeslice 05-03-2012 11:31 AM

I watched it like 20 times....the kicking and stomping was hilarious

And just who would that be; Vancouverites?

Trip 05-07-2012 12:55 PM

The Great Expulsion, the ones that later became known for their epic parties, otherwise known as the Cajuns.

They weren't expelled from Quebec. They were tossed out of Acadia (ie Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island). They were so addled by alcohol that that can't even say "Acadie" (FR) or "Acadian" (EN) properly.

Everyone in that area of Canada knows that a PROPER party is called a ceilidh (kay-lee) anyway.

fatbuckRTO 05-07-2012 02:31 PM

You pronounce "ceilidh" as "kay-lee?" And I thought the Cajuns, with their Thibodeaxs and Gauthiers, were bad.

Hell, I think ceilidh even trumps forecastle...

Exactly, that's cause the Quebecois are pussies. We weren't getting along with no shitty Brits. Fuck the Brits.

You get the surrendering douchebags while the craziest bunch of alcoholics and miscreants went south. Hell, during the Civil War, we were the vilest bunch of assholes they had to lump us altogether as the Louisiana Tigers because of our butchering awesomeness. Fuck rifles, we gonna hack you apart with knives.

Anglicized Gaelic, for those who can't figure out which letters are throw-aways

*EDIT* By way of example "claidheamohmor" is pronounced "clay(hawk-spit)more" or just "claymore", for the hawkingly challenged.
