Resurection Thread: Who rode to work today?

The other one seemed to go well. Wonder how many people still do it in the colder months. Most of you know I didn't. I haven't driven/rode my own vehicle since last March except for three weeks in September.

What 'bout you?

fatburg 03-03-2008 08:36 AM

Got the bike all ready saturday then yesterday about 4 it started raining and getting cold. This morning it was 30 degress and raining....so no. I didn't

Rider 03-03-2008 08:39 AM

Haven't ridden since Nov 1st. Probably have a good 3-4 weeks before it will warm up enough. Today was warm enough (42) but it was raining like a bitch.

Yep, I don't see me trading up anytime soon. My wife is already annoyed with 3 bikes in the stable now.

z06boy 03-03-2008 09:30 AM

Rode Saturday and yesterday...65 degrees...beautiful.

I don't ride to work because I have to wear a suit and look purty...the helmet smashes my hair down.

fpzx10 03-03-2008 09:45 AM

Tearing mine apart at the moment :dthumb:

Trip 03-03-2008 09:49 AM

Too cold at 5:30am for me to ride in. I am a wuss about cold weather riding though.

marko138 03-03-2008 10:15 AM

Mine hasn't been started since October. I won't be riding to work this year either...I'm getting a station car soon.

My bike is at home for the winter while I am at school. All weekend it was 60 degrees and I hated myself.

Mrs. Colleen 03-03-2008 02:26 PM

It is a beautiful and sunny day and I still have no seat on my bike.

Would have been the perfect day to ride to work.:cry::cry:

WARputer 03-03-2008 02:29 PM

Rode mine down to the dealer for a tire change ....still waiting on them to call me back ! Geeez !

m0n1 03-03-2008 02:35 PM

Well, if it helps, the wind is gusting up to 40PMH in SE Tex now. Riding in that's no fun.

Yeah... I was supposed to be out all day at the track, no go with the weather. Though, I'll take the rain - more rain = silt fences being removed.

I don't think I count here... I don't ride TO work, I ride AT work.

Cutty72 03-03-2008 04:52 PM

well... i test rode around a parking lot on saturday, does that count???

other than that, haven't been on it since Nov 1...
Prob be another couple weeks or so

fatburg 03-10-2008 07:43 PM

suppose to be chilly in the morning but mid-60s later so I might just bust out the hippo hands and ride to work tomorrow

fatburg 03-12-2008 08:03 AM

38 this morning, but geared up and did it, the first ride to work of the season :rockwoot: Damn I was cold by the time I got here.

Damn right. April or May I might start riding. Fuck off gas prices.

jtemple 03-12-2008 09:17 AM

I rode to work this morning. 35-40 degrees. That's about as cold as I can stand without any real winter gear. It's a 10ish minute ride to work is all.

GORGEOUS ride in today... very nice. :D Would've been nicer if not for the cop I was following the entire way, but riding 5 over the speed limit is better than not riding at all. :D

marko138 05-05-2008 08:37 AM

I'm back in the game. Rode to work yesterday. Riding to work today. Riding to work tomorrrow...wait I'm off tomorrow.

Correction: Beating the shit out of twisties tomorrow!

Rider 05-05-2008 09:12 AM

I rode today. Its going to be raing the next 3 days though..

Audiomechanic 05-06-2008 08:38 AM

Rode today as well. Foggy and a good chance for rain. I got my slickers. I'm not worried. I've riden through a flood before....on the GIX! But that's pretty much what Houston does: it's either drout, or it's underwater.

Rider 05-06-2008 08:47 AM

Rode again. The rain decided to hold off 1 more day. :rockwoot:

marko138 05-06-2008 08:48 AM

I'm off today...time to get this Bolt legal and bang up some twistie type pavement.

Cutty72 05-06-2008 11:34 AM

Rode yesterday, but today Vader is in getting the first service done. probably the only service the dealer will do on it.

marko138 05-06-2008 11:42 AM

Some do, some don't. Mine is fine to this point.
They do have the first ECM flash out for it though.

I do to, but being as it's a brand new bike, I'll let the shop take the first look at it. and since there still is not a service manual out for it...

Previous owner just put in a K&N and with the drummer he said it needs the TPS reset...claims it to be a 35 dollar job at the dealer.

and you're just jealous cause you aren't cool enough to own a buell.

and on the 1125, you can check it yourself. I believe there is a way to zero it yourself too... :rockwoot:

Get a power commander, you can check your throttle position with that and adjust if necessary.

marko138 05-14-2008 02:47 PM
