my girl told me she pumped under $2 today.... can anybody confirm this?

Anywhere from $1.83 to $1.89 for regular here. :rockwoot:

MikeSP1 11-21-2008 01:50 PM

To hell with all of you, mogas(sucky gas) on base out here is $4.06 par gallon, and off base its 132 yen/liter (~$5.25 per gallon). AAFES sucks, they can't even update their shit on time.

KSGregman 11-21-2008 01:52 PM

$1.77 for 87 octane while I was out over lunch

t-homo 11-21-2008 01:57 PM

1.69. Looks like the midwest is the place to be.

Leon 11-21-2008 02:07 PM

Ditto. It's been under $2 for probably 3 weeks or more here.

speedylocksmith 11-21-2008 02:41 PM

I said in a thread on CF a few weeks ago that oil will get down to 20-30 a barrel, maybe even lower. It's under 50 now and I'm sure it will hit the predicted range.

Hondahugger 11-21-2008 02:41 PM

I'm hoping it gets down below the $2.00 mark soon. I haven't seen it there yet, but then again, I haven't had to get gas this week. Last time I got gas it was at $2.03 at the BJ's in Florida City.

MILK 11-21-2008 02:42 PM

$1.73 :)

shmike 11-21-2008 02:42 PM

I filled up for $2.15 yesterday.

I heard on the radio it was down to $1.95 in Miramar.

Leon, where'd you see $1.99?

If it hits $20-30, our economy's really going to be in the shitter. I'll take $50/barrel and a healthy economy anyday.

I don't see how cheaper energy would put our economy in the crapper!

Amorok 11-21-2008 02:54 PM

Yeah, I'm seeing around $1.80-1.85. It's awesome.

Because it'll only get that low if people continue not spending money. Prices of other products will follow suit and drop, which means companies will produce less and spend less in R&D. People don't spend money, companies don't spend money, and the job market continues its current trend. ETA: and the global stock market. And the housing market. Etc.

That's how we get in the crapper. Deflation FTL.

buzzcutt2 11-21-2008 02:58 PM

$2.05 here...I heard Leon saw it for $1.99.

But when the prices of everything fall, people will have more money to spend, and the economy will rebound. I don't think we have bottomed out yet.:idk:

Leon 11-21-2008 03:03 PM

Leon saw 1.99 at the 7-11 at Copans and Dixie.

True, but at $20 per barrel oil, it's going to be a LONG climb out of the gutter. Years I don't want to spend worrying about job security and friends out of work.

So I'd rather have oil stabilize where it is and see the economy begin healing before something triggers a sprial effect. I have no desire to live through a depression.

Yeah I see what you mean when you put it that way. My wife rattled off a list of big named companies that are or are about to be filing chapter 11. Very scary! We could be looking at a depression. I hope not.

Moto Phil 11-21-2008 08:56 PM

Pretty happy about the dipping gas prices. Feel much better about putting the pedal to the metal and hearing that V8 roar when driving my truck.

LOZ 11-22-2008 02:39 AM

I filled my truck today with $30.... I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!

Hondahugger 11-22-2008 03:50 AM

The last time I filled up my tank, it only cost about half of what it used to. I could drive from my house to Hollywood and it would cost about 16 dollars round trip, the last time I went, it averaged out to about 8 dollars. Definitely cut in half! Now I will really be saving gas!

t-homo 11-22-2008 04:26 AM

1.61 here now.

Racerboy 11-22-2008 08:57 AM

Marathon just dropped their prices last night to $1.86 while I was passing by. They are on Davie Road about 3/4 mile South of I-595 heading into Old Town Davie

Hondahugger 11-22-2008 09:02 AM

Racetrack in Homestead had it at $1.97 when I passed by, but there's another gas station that is always cheaper just down the street so I went there and filled up at $1.95. First time I filled up my tank for under $25.00 in over a year!

Digifox 11-22-2008 09:05 AM

$1.50 is te cheapest here

LittleTaz 11-22-2008 04:06 PM

I swear every time I leave the house it's dropped more! $1.48 here at a couple of places or if I use my Kroger card at their gas station, $1.45.

OneSickPsycho 11-22-2008 04:16 PM

I filled for $1.89 here today.

alecracing 12-13-2008 09:05 AM
