This just proves that we've indeed taken our eye off the real threat. I say we invade Myanmar immediately.

I don't think the problem is necessarily with the Military, moreso, then how the government uses it as a another money transfer scheme.

Other countries do not spend nearly as much as we do because they simply do not need to do so and really neither do we. Government will just use propaganda to convince us that the latest and greatest is needed or we need to invade this or that in the name of national security.

And we use civilian contractors to do jobs that we have perfectly capable soldiers to accomplish. So we are double paying and getting half the output.

If the charts are to be believed based on size, then roughly equivalent to China(!).
