"Each year, three of the the four executive positions are set aside for white students; one of the four is set aside for a black student. The highest rank a black student can hold? Vice-President, in 8th grade."

From what I can gather from other sources, this policy was originally meant to satisfy a 30 year-old Justice dept order on desegregation.

The idea was to rotate who could run for office on an annual basis: White this year, black next year, etc.

Apparently, no one on the school board thought to update the rules lately.

Glad to see they're up on shit in Mississippi. Somebody send these idiots a calendar.
