I guess that's what happens when you rent to someone, but never do inspections. This isn't the sort of thing that happens overnight, after all. If it was a grow op, they'd lose the house too.
Many explosives don't blow when they are burnt but, then again, if they were afraid to send a robot in then there are likely a fair number in there that would blow if you sneezed on them. Maybe the economy is so bad in California that they want to compete with The Grand Canyon?
