While I think the repeal of DADT is somewhat significant I don't find it to be some monumental civil rights victory as some want to present it. Comparing this repeal to Truman integrating the military strikes me as completely lacking perspective.
I'm not saying you are placing that significance on it, just addressing some of the rhetoric that is out there.
