Skilled trades are starving for people. Even back when I was in college I looked around the class and thought that more than half should have been in something like an apprenticeship programme instead.

Which, of course, brings us back to the Mike Rowe argument in which we all agree that we have to get rid of the stigma associated with blue collar jobs and training/apprenticeship in that direction. (yet it still hasn't happened)
