Unfortunately, this one has happened more than once. :/

Out on a group ride with friends...I wear my gear all the time...they don't. So...they are standing there waiting after a fuel stop as I gear up....get on the bike, reach down to turn the key...to discover the key is NOT in the ignition, it's in my pocket.

Lots of swearing and name calling as I remove the gauntlet, get the key, put the gauntlet back on and ride away.

I have, unfortunately, duplicated this several times. I've also skipped the step of putting my helmet on and fastening it and gone right to getting my gloves on and fastened... only to go "Shit" and have to take the gloves back off. Always in front of people, of course.

the first ride after buying and bringing my bike home... the snow hadn't cleared out of my drive way but the roads were clear... so I coasted down and rode off... rode around for a while then came back... tried to walk up and dropped the bike a couple times (into the snow so no marks... but I couldn't get any footing and trying to push a 400lb bike up hill sucked

the only time I ever killed the bike was at a light talking to a hot girl from work...

my Kawi had a appetite for miss shifts before i changed to synthetic oil... it was embarrassing any time I got on it hard and found a false neutral.

oh... and I looped my fuck'n bike in the middle of nowhere Indiana after riding 4000 miles from North Dakota to FL and back up to Indy... just lost concentration and the clutch lever slipped outta my fingers at a light. then had to come back and explain to all the fuck tards here what happened...

= me

I have a couple rather embarassing bike-related tales.

First one happened about a week or two after I bought my first bike (Buell Blast, for those of you who don't know me). The guy that sold it to me asked me to come out to their Buell/Ducati bike night at Polvos. So it's Thursday evening, I'm riding out to bike night, and it starts to drizzle. Ok, no big deal, I'll have to deal with rain sooner or later, might as well get used to it. I'm coming up on the restaurant, and as I'm slowing to make the left turn.. I made the rookie mistake of using too much rear brake, especially for slick conditions. I was nearly stopped, but even so the bike wiggled it's rear end in a bit of a fish-tail. I tried to put my foot down to stop the bike from going over, but the road was SO slick with the oil that hadn't quite washed off yet, my food slid right out from under me!

Fuck. Just dropped my bike in the left lane of a busy road. I go to try to pick the damn thing up.. when none other than a farking cop pulls up behind me, lights on and all! Thankfully she was just there to block traffic and help me get the bike accross the street into the parking lot. Suffice it to say, my first impression on all the Buell guys was a memorable one. Although if you would to hear my buddy Chad tell the story, it would come out more like, "yeah, and then she skid to a stop, cops with lights ablaze, all bad ass like! And when she pulled her helmet off and we realized it was a chick, we were all like, 'WHOA!!' ".

Tipped it over in the drive way twice while cleaning it. My wife was the only one who saw...and I wasn't embarrassed, I was pissed.

yeah, it's one thing to drop a blue and white one but a pink one adds insult to injury

No kidding. I've never seen one with blue wheels...black but not blue. Where they off of the blue and white 92?

No, I took them off and had them powdercoated to match the shade of blue in the stripes.

Nice. You have any pics? That was my first bike....just got rid of it last May and bought the Buell. The Zuk was good to me.
