Hmmmmph. Unless I make an immediate move somewhere north, that leaves me out. But if I lived up north, I wouldn't ride when snow or a chance of ice on the roads either.
 That's aight. When summer gets here, let's have a contest to see who's riding geared in 100 plus heat with unbearable humidity.

WNC can get pretty nippy too.
I'm not in the pic - but my bike is (the blue DR). I took the pic last last week on a dualsport ride. We had snow, ice, and mud - does this count? sorry - bad quality (the beemer had to turn around - wrong tires)
