Jeeps is the only person I've ridden with solo. Before I got my own bike I'd hop on the back and we'd just take off by ourselves. There are a couple guys we hook up with on occasion though.

I will ride with anyone, once. After that only the safe ones and by that I mean some folks can be safe at 140 and some can't be safe at 50. Ebbs was great to ride with, and my best friend is a great wingman on his Duc 900. There are a few guys from the AR MSF I ride with sometimes, and my racer friends from the ZX10 forum in MO.
I need to feel som elevel of trust to be comfortable after that I can mix it up with anyone or any kind of bike. Some of the guys you know best and trust you can have more fun with cause you kinda know what they are gonna do and how hard you can push each other. I want in on the Chatterbox group buy too!

Chatterboxes arent a bad idea, and very helpful depending on ride style.
Many long distance riders like them to communicate to stave off boredom and in case they get seperated in traffic. Ebbs and I coud have used them on our trip, but to be quite honest, knowing the basic signals for needs worked for me too. My preference is simply due to me being attached to my phone constantly for crap and my ride is MY TIME. |

I wrote a post years ago on the old TWF titled something like "I won't ride with you if.." and it was kinda controversial....now ya'll sound like olde fartes like me........ |

another nice thing... is if you have a GPS unit that has blue tooth... you can connect that and hear traffic in certain cities or just turn by turn nav if you want.Quote:
