Am I the only one? Old bikes vs new bikes

It all works great when it works.....it just sucks when it doesn't. I keep and ride the stuff that I can fix in my garage, or limp home after doing a roadside fix..in the rain....at night.......

People make fun of my old bike, but I know what's wrong with it when it dies before the truck comes to pick it up. I never have to worry about a shop screwing it up because it's too old for any shop to work on!!
