Honestly, I'm not shocked by the story. I think it's effed up and don't share your sentiments, but I'm not shocked by it.

I think it's sad that we're not more shocked by this stuff. I think it's pathetic that as a society violence and sociopathy (because that's what this is) has become so commonplace that anyone who is shocked by it is considered to be "sheltered".

But that is what human nature consists of. If you don't understand how humans work, and you're a human yourself, then yea...you're sheltered. There's nothing wrong with recognizing the bad parts of humanity that have always existed.
