Sarah Palin Blames the Oil Spill on Environmentalists over Twitter.

I don't recall her ever being critical of off-shore drilling before. Now all of a sudden a disaster happens offshore, and she thinks she has the right to say "I told you onshore drilling was better than offshore". Sorry but that shit doesn't fly. She's just an opportunist.

Bingo.

Sarah Palin at an October 21, 2008, campaign event in Reno, with emphasis added:

PALIN: John [McCain] and I have to adopt an all-of-the-above approach to meet America’s great energy challenge for you. That means harnessing alternative sources, like wind, and solar, and biomass, and geothermal.

(APPLAUSE)

And we will develop clean-coal technology. And we will safely drill for the billions of barrels of oil that we have underground, including off-shore.

Bitch, shut the fuck up.

I think that goes without saying.

She's stated that she's for on and off shore drilling. I think she's just using this opportunity to promote and drum up support for drilling in ANWR...not trying to say she's against offshore drilling all of a sudden.

All might be opportunists, but some actually understand the issues, while others don't.

Thats why they have aides. Aides do all the reading and provide executive summaries.
