It's a 2000 though. A 600 from last year makes more power

Highly doubt your '00 R1 puts out that much at the wheel. Maybe 150-155. Still way more than I'll ever need.

That's what he got it dynoed at last summer. Full Hindle exhaust, stage 3 jet kit, K&N air filter, some cam work. -2 rear sprocket, but that doesn't make a difference. And yes, that is way more than I will ever need either.

Yeah, its pretty ridiculous. It's a hell of a lot of fun though. No way in hell I will ever get close to this bikes potential.

I just would rather not have the big bulky bike that the 1000's seem to be... I like the size of my 600... the new 1000's are almost if not just as light... but they still seem to be bigger and bulkier...

It's bigger than my friends 05 600rr, but when riding, it doesn't feel huge or bulky or anything. IDK.

Quote:
sportrider dyno'd a 2000 r1 at 127 hp stock so most were probably around 130. ![]() If the previous owner was able to pull an additional 35 hp out of that engine without switching to FI so be it but a 2005 stock r6 made 110, only 17 down from the 2000 r1 in 5 years of development. ![]() The newer 600's are making close to 125 from what I hear so I wasn't that far off in my original statement though it was meant only in jest.
