I rode with the "street kings" today. I was a little nervous...but they turned out to be pretty good guys. And some wore vests.

Sounds like i may get my first experience of an actual "bike night"
There are a couple big get togethers scheduled here in Des Moines while I'm here... we shall see how it goes.

I'm prepared for a bunch of drinkers and squids.
I've already seen that no one wears gear, and one of the places offers free beer for the first 100 people there.

I'll probalby stop in, grab a bite to eat as I wander around and check out the bikes, then go off on my merry way.
