There are plenty of people who want pure cranberry juice (what if they just like tart-tasting stuff? and also it's supposed to be good for bladder infections or something). Also, if someone wants to have a cranberry vodka or whatever that drink is called, wouldn't they want pure cranberry? Regardless, you can find 100% pure cranberry at practically any grocery store.

Default Revisiting my juice rant

Remember I said there outta be a law against labeling shit as though a juice were predominant in a blend, when it's really not?

Well, guess what? Apparently there is a law; the Lanham act, and one maker of shitty fucking juice is suing another, over that exact issue...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/0..._n_647420.html

"POM has filed a lawsuit against Minute Maid's parent company, Coca-Cola, under the Lanham Act for false advertising, claiming the juice's name and label make it appear as if pomegranate is the main ingredient, though the blend actually contains less than 0.3 percent of pomegranate juice and is over 99 percent apple and grape juice."

Well no shit!

funny that they're saying Minute Maid is "exploiting health benefits of pomegranate" , since i'm pretty sure POM was the POS company told to knock off its baseless claims about pomegranate juice being able to cure things like herpes, cancer, and stupidity.

Yea.. I noticed recently that 95% of the syrup on shelves are corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, water, that gum shit, flavoring and sugar. If you want the real deal you gotta pay for it.. and it isn't cheap either.

If the other companies want to distinguish themselves as "real maple syrup" then the burden is on them to do a better job of advertising that.
