Toyuota Tundra owners?

Im looking at getting a full sized truck. The Tundra is first on my list followed by the F-150. For those that have Tundras, what do you think?

Also, is there enough room in the crew cab version to carry a bike in the bed? Maybe with the lift gate down.

Yes you can fit a bike or two back there. Other than that its a decent truck, comfortable to ride in on long trips, cant say anything else about the truck though as I was just a passenger. You can also fit one bike back there with the tailgate up

Same goes for the Nissan Titan. Based on the F150 frame if I'm not mistaken.

I can fit 2 bikes comfortably, squeeze 3 dirt bikes, and the interior is nice and plush after a day of riding. This is on the short bed crew cab version as well.

F150 crew cab will fit 2 bikes (636 and cbr900) side by side with the tailgate up, this is Scotts truck, and was taken on our way back from teh rally this year. he has since traded it in for a Dodge ram

I rode in a coworkers truck....very nice rig, but the gas mileage sucks and I thought the Siverado was quieter, smoother and def. had better fuel economy.

I think GMC/Chevy has the best gas mileage for the big trucks. My 2009 GMC 4x4 crew with short bed gasser get 20ish without the trailer, 16-18 with the 15' boat and 12ish with our 16' enclosed dual axel trailer that hauls 4 bikes easily or 2 snowmobiles.

I just liked the fit and finish of the GM better, drove the ford and the toyota but the GM is a truck that rides like a car. They also had the best incentives at the time with 0% financing for 60 months it was hard to turn it down!

100,000 miles. I'm convinced thats is when the factory designed american vehicles to break. The window of my CHEVY truck isn't quite working correctly right now, it keeps coming off the track and gets stuck 1/2 way down. Not once in a while, but every time the window moves. This started last week. Other than the BCM overheats in the winter and the door locks dont work once a year, and the fan makes a clicking noise on 1. Small things, but they are annoying. Current mileage 96,xxx.

I have not had nearly as much dissapointment from japanese vehicles as I have from american vehicles. Its not the actual vehicle (although both my focus's fell apart at 125k) just that they seem to not last like japanese cars do. I'm very dissapointed in them overall.

Can't comment on the Tundra but regularly drive an F150 and that truck is awesome. Love the way it drives and handles. Pull my 7x16 trailer with it and don't even feel it.

I've never been a Ford fan but this truck has me convinced!

i test drove the tundra over the weekend, looking at getting one soon as well.
heard nothing but great things so far. and the 5.7L is a beast.

Ford used to have a site where they compared the big 4 trucks getting hammered on. The way the Toyota bed shook on a washboard road scared me off Tundras for good. Between that and the Tacoma's tailgate issues and tiny payload, I don't really trust them for heavy work.

Of course, hauling a bike to the track ain't exactly heavy work. I like the coil sprung rear of the Ram and the Ford Ecoboost in the full-size class.
